A Budget Knowledge test conducted at IIMC

The Indian Institute of Management and Commerce (IIMC) College, in association with Planet Finance Business School and Vasavi Club, Hyderabad, conducted a ‘Budget Knowledge Test’ on February 13 at 2pm at College premises. The test aimed to promote awareness and understanding of the Union Budget 2024-25 among the students.

The test was open to Undergraduate and Postgraduate students. A huge number of students from various colleges participated in the event. The winners were rewarded with cash awards. The consolation prizes were also awarded to the deserving students.

The Principal, Vice Principals, faculty members and staff of IIMC, along with the representatives of Planet Finance Business School and Vasavi Club participated in the event. The event was a great initiative to assess students’ level of knowledge on the Union Budget.

During the prize distribution, K Raghu Veer, Principal, remarked that the college has been conducting the Budget Knowledge test since many years, to test the students ability of understanding and implications of the Union Budget. He congratulated the winners and expressed his gratitude to Planet Finance B – School and Vasavi Club, Hyderabad for partnering to make this event a grand success. The formal vote of thanks was proposed by Dr D Thirumala Rao, Vice Principal (Academic), IIMC.

D Thirumalesh, IIMC, received Rs 3000 as the winner of first prize, S Kalyan Raj, Nizam College, Hyderabad received Rs 2000 as the winner of second prize, K Kavya Sri, Nizam College, Hyderabad received Rs 1000 as the winner of Third prize. The consolation prize of Rs 500 each was given to Sourabh Singh, Nizam College, N Srija, G Jashvini and Sasrdhika, Veeranari Chakali Ilamma Womens University, Hyderabad.
