Bellampalle Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Kiran Kumar stated on Friday that crimes can be effectively prevented only through advance precautions, and that reducing the crime rate is the primary objective of the police department. Speaking at a review meeting organized by Bellampalle Sub-Division Police at the Illandu Club in Mandamarri, the ACP addressed managers and owners of banks, private gold finance companies, gold shops and lodges. The meeting focused heavily on preventing thefts.

ACP Kiran Kumar urged gold jewellery traders and staff of gold loan companies to remain highly vigilant. He instructed them to immediately inform the police upon noticing any suspicious individuals or movements. He directed lodge owners to strictly verify the Aadhaar-linked mobile numbers of persons from other states before allotting rooms. Highlighting the recent spate of thefts targeting gold, the ACP called upon banks, private gold loan firms, and jewellery shop owners to implement strong security measures.

He advised them to install modern CCTV cameras with continuous monitoring, set up fire sirens without fail, and appoint licensed gun holders as security personnel for better protection. He also suggested that special attention be paid to identifying individuals coming from other areas and taking necessary precautions. “Instead of filing complaints after crimes occur, everyone should take proactive steps and act responsibly to keep the region free of crime,” ACP Kiran Kumar emphasized.

The meeting was attended by Bellampalle Rural Circle Inspector Hanuk, Bellampalle One Town Inspector Srinivas Rao, Mandamarri CI Persa Ramesh, Sub-Inspectors, bank managers, gold shop owners, lodge managers and others.
