Adilabad Police intensify anti-illicit liquor drive

Adilabad police launched a special drive against the manufacture and sale of illicit liquor across 11 police station limits, registering cases against 26 individuals. A total of 35 police teams conducted extensive inspections and raids as part of the operation.

During the drive, police seized 32.5 litres of illicit liquor (gudumba), 35 litres of jaggery wash used for brewing, and 705 litres of adulterated toddy. Officials said the operation was aimed at curbing illegal liquor activities and protecting public health.

Police warned that stringent action would continue against those involved in the production, transportation, and sale of illicit liquor, and appealed to the public to share information on such activities.
