‘Agadha’ to release on August 14, MS Raju expresses confidence on success

Filmmaker M.S. Raju is gearing up for the theatrical release of his directorial debut and upcoming mystic thriller Aghadha, which is scheduled to hit screens on August 14. Produced by Kashi Visalakshi Balusu under the banner of Sri Aadivaraha Productions and presented by Ajay KR, the film features Kamakshi Bhaskarla, Shravan Reddy, Ulka Gupta, Jovika Vijayakumar, Bhanu Chander, Shiju, Vanitha Vijayakumar and others in key roles. Raju described Aghadha as a film that goes beyond conventional horror. Explaining the title, he said it refers to something deep, an abyss or a void.

The story, he said, explores the mysterious forces that exist between divine and evil realms, while combining supernatural elements with commercial entertainment. MS Raju revealed that he undertook extensive research while developing the film. He also expressed confidence that Aghadha would appeal to both single-screen and multiplex audiences. Raju also revealed that several industry personalities, including Mahesh Babu and Prabhas, expressed confidence in the film. He said the possibility of Aghadha 2 remains open, with the next chapter potentially serving as either a prequel or sequel.
