Alia Bhatt joins Kalki sequel?

Rumours suggest Bollywood actress Alia has joined Nag Ashwin’s Kalki 2898 AD sequel, but makers have not confirmed it

The sequel to Kalki 2898 AD is steadily taking shape, with director Nag Ashwin reportedly filming key portions of the ambitious sci-fi epic in Hyderabad. While the makers have maintained silence about the project, fresh speculation has placed actress Alia Bhatt at the centre of attention.

According to reports, Alia is being considered for a pivotal role in the sequel. Her character is reportedly unrelated to Sumathi, portrayed by Deepika Padukone in the first instalment, and is expected to be a completely new addition to the story.

The rumours gained traction after claims surfaced that the actress had already filmed a few scenes for the project. However, neither the makers nor the production house have officially confirmed her involvement. As reports of Alia’s alleged casting spread online, fans took to social media to share their excitement and curiosity about her potential role in the highly anticipated sequel.

Meanwhile, production on the film is said to be progressing steadily. Veterans Amitabh Bachchan and Kamal Haasan, who played key roles in the first film, have reportedly completed major shooting schedules. Despite widespread reports linking Alia Bhatt to Kalki 2898 AD sequel, the film’s spokesperson has denied that any shooting involving the actress has taken place. “There’s no official clarity yet. Someone posted it on social media, and everyone else 

copied and pasted it as news. There’s definitely no clarity regarding her casting yet,” the spokesperson told a newspaper. The statement has cast doubt over the ongoing speculation, leaving fans waiting for an official announcement from the makers.
