The journey of AMS School of Informatics, Durgabai Deshmukh College, is rooted in the vision of Durgabai Deshmukh who founded the Andhra Mahila Sabha in 1937 with a strong commitment to women's education, empowerment and social development. Over the decades, Andhra Mahila Sabha has expanded from school education to higher and professional education while continuing to uphold the values of education, discipline, service and empowerment.
AMS School of Informatics introduced its MBA program in 2008 which combines academic learning with skill development. The 2024–26 MBA batch produced 59 students who achieved distinction. The program has also demonstrated strong career outcomes, with 75 students placed across leading organizations, including TCS, Accenture, Tech Mahindra, Wipro, Genpact, Muthoot Finance, Cognizant, FactSet and Wells Fargo.
