State Minister Nara Lokesh handed over a cheque of Rs 2.5 crore to cricketer Sricharani the left-arm spinner from the state who played a pivotal role in India's 2025 Women's Cricket World Cup victory, as a cash incentive on behalf of the state government.
Transport and Youth and Sports Minister Mandipalli Ramprasad Reddy participated in the event and congratulated Sricharani.
Wishing for women to reach greater heights in sports, he said that the government will always stand with the sportspersons. SAP Chairman Ravi Naidu, MD Bharani and Special CS Ajay Jain were present on the occasion.
