Andhra Pradesh Engineering Common Entrance Test (AP ECET-2026) results were officially announced on Friday by State Education and IT Minister Nara Lokesh through his official ‘X’ social media platform. The minister revealed that the examination recorded an impressive overall pass percentage of 91.72 percent this year. According to official figures, a total of 32,434 students appeared for the entrance examination conducted across the state on April 23, 2026. Out of them, 29,750 candidates successfully qualified in the test.

Education Minister Lokesh congratulated all the students who cleared the examination and wished them success in their higher education journey. The AP ECET examination is conducted for diploma and polytechnic students seeking lateral entry admission into the second year of B.Tech and B.E. courses in engineering colleges across Andhra Pradesh. Through this system, eligible students can directly enter the second year of engineering programmes, allowing them to save one academic year.

Admissions into various engineering colleges in the state will be carried out based on the ranks secured by candidates in the ECET examination. Officials stated that the counselling schedule and admission process details would be announced shortly by the Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE). Students can download their results and rank cards from the official website, AP ECET Results Portal. In an effort to make the process more accessible and student-friendly, the government has also introduced WhatsApp-based result services this year.

Candidates can obtain their rank cards by sending a message through WhatsApp to the number 9552300009. Education department officials advised students to regularly monitor the official website for updates regarding counseling schedules, certificate verification and web options for admissions.
