Police in Lakshmipur village, Ramadugu mandal, have solved the suspicious death of 36-year-old Gade Anjayy. Investigation revealed that his father, 63-year-old Gade Lachayya, and wife Gade Shireesh arranged a contract killing to eliminate Anjayy.

According to police, Anjayy, who had gone abroad in 2017, returned in 2019 and discovered the illicit relationship between his father and wife, confronting them. To remove this obstacle, Lachayya and Shireesh hatched a plan, hiring Kolipaka Ravi to approach hitmen Upparapalli Koteswar and Mohammad Abrar with a contract worth ₹Rs 3 lakh.

On December 2, Anjayy was lured near a canal at the village outskirts and heavily intoxicated. Koteswar held his throat while Abrar restrained him, resulting in his death. Ravi informed Lachayya of the murder, and the body was later disposed of in the D-8 canal. The body was recovered on December 5. Police have arrested all five suspects and recovered mobile phones, a bike (TS 02L 1367), and Rs 40,000 in cash. The remaining amount is yet to be traced.
