Babu condemns desecration of Ambedkar Statue, orders strict action

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has strongly condemned the desecration of a statue of Dr. B R Ambedkar in Dubacherla Gandhi Colony, located in Nallajerla Mandal of Gopalapuram constituency, East Godavari district. The Chief Minister termed the act as deeply offensive and unacceptable, emphasizing that strict action would be taken against those responsible.

Following the incident, CM Naidu held a high-level review meeting with the Director General of Police (DGP) and senior law enforcement officials to assess the situation. Expressing serious concern over the matter, he directed the police to take immediate and stringent measures against the perpetrators. “Insulting Dr. Ambedkar, the architect of the Indian Constitution and a symbol of social justice, is an attack on the values of democracy and equality. Such heinous acts will not be tolerated under any circumstances,” he stated.

The Chief Minister stressed that those involved in such conspiracies must be identified and brought to justice without delay. He instructed the police to ensure that those who attempt to disrupt communal harmony or hurt public sentiments face severe legal consequences. Additionally, he emphasized the need for heightened vigilance to prevent the recurrence of such incidents in the future.

“Authorities must take the strictest action against individuals or groups trying to incite tensions among communities. Police personnel must remain extra vigilant and closely monitor any activities aimed at fostering discord among different sections of society,” CM Naidu instructed.
