Amazon MX Player, took the spotlight on Day 2 of Goafest 2025 with a thought-provoking fireside session titled “IGNITE THE NEXT: From Action and Adrenaline to Social Experiments.”

The session brought together Bollywood actor Suniel Shetty and content innovator Deepak Dhar, Founder & Group CEO of Banijay Asia and Endemol Shine India, in conversation with Aruna Daryanani, Director of Amazon MX Player. The discussion focused on how bold, genre-blending narratives and the rise of digital platforms are transforming the Indian entertainment landscape.

Suniel Shetty spoke at length about his role in Hunter, Amazon MX Player’s high-octane digital series set to return as part of the platform’s Prime Day content line-up. He highlighted the evolution of his character ACP Vikram and emphasised the shift toward deeper, more emotionally resonant storytelling on OTT. “Hunter is not just about action—it’s about emotion, character, and truth,” Shetty said, addressing concerns from advertisers about brand safety in action thrillers.

Deepak Dhar unveiled Rise and Fall, an upcoming Amazon MX Player reality series that blends strategy, social dynamics, and raw human emotion. “It’s more than entertainment. It’s a sharp reflection of power shifts and human behaviour,” Dhar explained, positioning the show as a bold new format tailored for India’s evolving digital audience.

Director Aruna Daryanani reinforced the platform’s mission: “At Amazon MX Player, we’re here to entertain India for free—with stories that are fresh, diverse, and deeply engaging. Whether it's thrillers like Hunter or daring formats like Rise and Fall, our focus is on quality storytelling and brand-safe innovation.” The session concluded with a shared vision for the future: content that’s disruptive yet relatable, and platforms like Amazon MX Player leading the way in redefining entertainment for modern India.
