Bollywood is known for its movies and music, but some of its stars also have a love for poetry. On World Poetry Day, we celebrate Bollywood celebrities who express themselves beautifully through words, sharing their thoughts, emotions, and creativity through poetry.

Amitabh Bachchan

The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree. Born to legendary poet Harivansh Rai Bachchan, Amitabh Bachchan naturally inherited a love for poetry. He regularly shares his poetic musings on his blog, expressing emotions ranging from nostalgia to hope. His deep, baritone voice makes his recitals even more impactful. One of his memorable poems reflects on resilience and determination: “Jeevan ke har mod par mil jayengi manzilein, Kadam badhakar to dekho, raaste khud ban jayenge.”

Sushmita Sen
