Book Release of ‘Narla Maata’ at IIMC

IIMC College Khairathabad organized the book release event of ‘Narla Maata-Jaathi Bhavishyathhuku Baata’, compiled by Dr. Nagasuri Venugopal on Tuesday. E. Ramakrishna, Head of the Telugu Department at IIMC College, inaugurated the book release function.

He remembered Narla Venkateswara Rao, who made remarkable contributions to modern Telugu literature and journalism. Prof. Vangapalli Viswanatham, Chairman of the college said that everyone should speak Telugu and encourage family members to speak it, thereby upholding the greatness of the Telugu language.

Kura Raghuveer, Principal of IIMC College, said that with the intention of bringing to society the books of literary figures and prominent personalities who are fading into obscurity, the college started this book publication initiative.  Prof. Sagi Kamalakara Sharma, Professor in the Telugu Department at Osmania University, who attended as Chief Guest, released the book ‘Narla Maata’ and spoke about the importance of newspaper editorials, reviews and the greatness of Narla's Telugu prose. The program concluded with a vote of thanks by Madhavi, Assistant Professor in the Sanskrit department.
