Kukatpally MLA Madhavaram Krishna Rao and BRS MLC Dasoju Sravan Kumar on Wednesday lodged a complaint with HYDRAA Commissioner Ranganath alleging that about 320 acres of government land worth thousands of crores of rupees in Survey No. 307 of Gajularamaram in Quthbullapur constituency is being encroached upon. They alleged that some landlords were encroaching on government land by creating fake pattas while the officials were playing the role of spectators. MLC Shravan's allegation that Serilingampally MLA Arikepudi Gandhi was behind the encroachment has created a stir.
Speaking to media after meeting the commissioner at the Hydra office, MLA Krishna Rao said that representations were made to all government departments to protect the 317 acres of government land in Survey No. 307 of Gajularamaram, but no one paid any heed. He alleged that a complaint was lodged with the HMDA commissioner a month ago, who immediately responded and erected a fence around the land but now the occupier removed the fence and re-encroached on it. He also cautioned people not to buy land in the ventures in that survey number as permissions were being given to ventures by the authorities on government land. He urged the government to allocate this land for the construction of double bedroom houses for the poor people.
MLC Shravan also alleged that government land worth thousands of crores of rupees in Gajularamaram has been encroached upon by the Serilingampally MLA Arikepudi Gandhi. “We have asked the commissioner to save this land. He has responded positively to us. “ MLC Shravan said. With this complaint, the Gajularamaram land issue has once again become a topic of discussion.
