Central Bank of India, Batasingaram Branch, conducted an agricultural outreach program to promote financial inclusion and facilitate access to credit for farmers, Self-Help Groups (SHGs) and rural customers. The program was organised by G Venkatesh , Branch Manager, Batasingaram Branch, and graced by Gajendra Singh Chouhan, Regional Head, Hyderabad Region, as the Chief Guest. SHG members, farmers and other stakeholders, participated in the program. Gajendra Singh Chouhan, Regional Head, highlighted the importance of e-KYC, Re-KYC, APY, PMJJBY and PMSBY and encouraged the participants to make optimum use of the Bank’s digital and social security banking initiatives.
He also highlighted the benefits of the recently launched Shebizz Accounts, aimed at supporting and empowering women entrepreneurs. The program received an encouraging response, with loan leads amounting to Rs 20 crore generated during the outreach program. Out of these, Rs 7 crore was disbursed on the day of the camp itself, demonstrating Central Bank of India’s commitment to timely and accessible credit for the agricultural and rural community.
