Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu marked the beginning of the New Year with a visit to the Kanaka Durga Temple on Indrakeeladri Hill in Vijayawada. The Chief Minister offered prayers to Goddess Kanaka Durga and participated in special rituals led by the temple priests.
Upon completing the darshan, the temple priests performed Vedic rituals to bless the Chief Minister and presented him with tirtha prasadam. Chandrababu Naidu was ceremoniously welcomed to the temple with a traditional poorna kumbham, symbolizing an auspicious start to the year. The temple saw a massive turnout of devotees who gathered to seek blessings from Goddess Kanaka Durga for health, prosperity, and success in the New Year. To accommodate the influx, temple authorities had implemented elaborate arrangements to ensure a seamless darshan experience for the devotees.
Earlier in the day, priests from the TTD also extended their blessings to Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu.

Andhra Pradesh Tourism, Culture and Cinematography Minister Kandula Durgesh has called upon all the people to work together for the development of the state in the new year and build a new Andhra Pradesh. The Minister was blessed by Vedic scholars at a program organized at the Jana Sena party office in Nidadavolu on Wednesday. Minister Durgesh warmly greeted everyone on this occasion and thanked them.
Stating that the state government is committed to public welfare, he called on the officials, leaders and activists to work together for the development of the state. On this occasion, the minister unveiled the New Year calendars. On the occasion of the New Year, Endowments Minister Anam Ramnayarayan Reddy visited Talpagiri Ranganatha Swamy temple in Nellore. Later, he spoke to the media and said that the government is working hard to lead the state towards progress and self-sufficiency. He called on the youth to come forward to set up new industries. "Let's bid farewell to the past year 2024 and welcome the New Year," the minister said.
