Director Buchi Babu Sana has expressed confidence that Peddi, starring Ram Charan, will connect strongly with audiences through its blend of sports, emotion and commercial entertainment. The film is set for a worldwide release on June 4, with special premieres scheduled a day earlier.

Speaking at a press conference, Buchi Babu said Ram Charan underwent intensive wrestling training for three to four months and delivered a remarkable physical transformation for the role. “We designed the character’s journey in three stages, and Charan transformed even beyond our expectations,” he said.

The director clarified that Peddi is a completely different story from the project he had earlier discussed with NTR and was developed specifically for Ram Charan. He also revealed that the actor suffered several injuries during the shoot, particularly while filming wrestling sequences.

Peddi features Shivraj Kumar, Jagapathi Babu, Divyendu Sharma and Janhvi Kapoor in key roles. Buchi Babu described Jagapathi Babu’s character as one of the film’s strongest roles and praised Janhvi Kapoor for her dedication and performance.

The filmmaker said working with music composer A.R. Rahman was a dream come true. He added that two more songs in the film are yet to be experienced by audiences on the big screen.

According to Buchi Babu, Peddi has a strong emotional core that has not been revealed in the trailer. He said the film’s climax has received an excellent response from those who have already watched it and expressed confidence that audiences will embrace the film.
