Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has announced that the Telangana government will allocate Rs. 200 crore for the development of Kaleshwaram in preparation for the upcoming Godavari Pushkaralu to be held in July-August 2027.

Speaking at the Saraswati Ghat site after taking part in the Saraswati Pushkaralu that commenced in Kaleshwaram on Thursday, the Chief Minister emphasized the spiritual, cultural, and economic significance of the Pushkaralu and reiterated the government’s commitment to preserving Telangana's traditions while driving regional development.

“This is the first time we are celebrating the Saraswati Pushkaralu since the formation of Telangana, and I consider it a privilege that this event is happening during my tenure,” CM Revanth Reddy said. “Our rivers are not just sources of water—they are part of our civilization and are worshipped as deities. That is why we must honor and celebrate them with grandeur.”

The Chief Minister highlighted the unique importance of Manthani constituency and Kaleshwaram, envisioning the area as a major spiritual and tourism hub. He praised Minister Sridhar Babu for his relentless efforts to bring investments and elevate the region’s stature within the state and beyond.

“The government is ready to provide funds through the Green Channel to ensure seamless preparations. Our aim is to make Kaleshwaram a model destination for devotees and tourists during the Godavari Pushkaralu,” he added.

Revanth Reddy also acknowledged the contributions of past leaders like PV Narasimha Rao and Duddilla Sripada Rao, noting their role in enhancing Telangana’s reputation nationally and internationally. He called on the people of Manthani to continue supporting leaders like Sridhar Babu, who are committed to bringing economic and cultural progress to the region.

“Pushkaralu are not just religious events; they are part of our living heritage. Let us carry forward this legacy with dedication and ensure that Telangana stands tall as a robust economic and cultural powerhouse,” CM said.

Speaking earlier, IT and Industries Minister Sridhar Babu announced that seven priests from Kashi, who perform the renowned Ganga Harathi, have been specially invited for the upcoming 12-day Godavari Pushkaralu. Extensive arrangements have been made to ensure a smooth and spiritual experience for pilgrims, including those coming from Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh, and Andhra Pradesh.

Emphasizing the sanctity of temples, the Minister stated that all necessary steps will be taken to preserve their purity. He urged the Chief Minister to allocate funds for developing Kaleshwaram as a pilgrimage and tourism hub, including Ramagiri Fort, and announced a sanctioned amount of Rs. 3 crore for a new bus stand in Kaleshwaram.
