Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, along with several senior leaders of the state Congress, joined Leader of the Opposition Rahul Gandhi in the ongoing Voter Adhikar Yatra in Bihar, reinforcing the Congress party’s national push for voter rights and electoral reforms.

The Telangana delegation included Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, TPCC president Mahesh Kumar Goud, Ministers Ponnam Prabhakar, Seethakka, Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy, Vakati Srihari, MP Anil Kumar Yadav, and Hyderabad DCC President Rohin Reddy. They also met Congress MP Priyanka Gandhi Vadra at Paras, Bihar, expressing solidarity with the nationwide campaign.

Revanth Reddy, Priyanka Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi were seen in the same open top vehicle while doing a road show. The Telangana leaders’ participation underscores the state’s alignment with national efforts to defend democratic values and empower voters. Their presence in Bihar signifies a message of solidarity, not only within the Congress party but across INDIA bloc allies, as they gear up for upcoming assembly elections.

The Voter Adhikar Yatra, spearheaded by Rahul Gandhi and supported by leaders of the INDIA bloc, aims to highlight issues of alleged voter suppression and promote awareness about electoral rights. The campaign, covering over 1,300 kilometers across more than 20 districts, began on August 17 at Sasaram and will conclude with a massive rally in Patna on September 1.

On Tuesday, the Yatra resumed at Supaul after a brief pause and witnessed an impressive show of unity among opposition leaders, including RJD’s Tejashwi Yadav. Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi, and other leaders greeted crowds from atop SUVs, addressing large gatherings in multiple districts. Gandhi reiterated the INDIA bloc’s commitment to ensuring free and fair elections and announced that the alliance would soon release its election manifesto for Bihar.

He strongly criticized the BJP-led NDA government for allegedly manipulating the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of voter rolls to benefit its political interests, stating that protecting electoral integrity is essential for strengthening democracy.

After participating in Rahul Gandhi's yatra, Revanth Reddy returned to Hyderabad in the evening
