CNH India is leading the mechanization movement

Pune, February 16, 2026: CNH, a global leader in the manufacturing of farm and construction machinery equipment, showcased its advanced, Made-in-Pune farm mechanization products at the company's state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Pune. The Pune plant has CNH's strong R & D, engineering and manufacturing capabilities. It designs, develops and produces world-class harvesting and crop remediation equipment in India for domestic and global markets. The 280,000 square metre centre manufactures combine harvesters, cane harvesters, small square balers, tractors, headers, cabs and implements. Equipped with advanced fabrication, automated paint systems, structured assembly lines, and rigorous testing protocols, the plant supports the mechanization of multiple crops across the country, while exporting a portion of its production abroad.

Narinder Mittal, President & Managing Director, CNH India Region, said, "The CNH Pune plant is a symbol of our commitment to pioneering the mechanization movement in the country, besides being one of the most critical for our manufacturing operations in India. As India moves towards becoming a developed economy, farm mechanization will play a key role in driving productivity, efficiency and sustainability across the farm ecosystem. Our technological leadership in cane harvesters, combine harvesters, balers, specially designed for Indian soil and agricultural conditions, is demonstrated through energy-efficient, dependable, technologically advanced machines. We are excited to design and produce these solutions for Indian farmers.In 2023, CNH introduced India's first TREM-V emission stage compliant sugarcane harvester from this facility. CNH has a market share of more than 50% in the sugarcane harvester and small square baler segments in India. The cab combine will continue to be the market leader in the harvester segment.

Beyond advanced machines, the company focuses on developing skills and capabilities. It will create a holistic approach to transform Indian agriculture. Skill development training to youth, agricultural extension education including use of drones and digital technology, sugarcane cultivation in an environment friendly manner and crop residue management programmes are currently underway in the state of Maharashtra. The Pune centre is also recognized for its eco-friendly and safety practices. It is also IGBC (Indian Green Building Council) certified, and has received Industrial Safety Awards for unprecedented performance in 2022 and 2023. It adopts energy and water conservation practices in line with the company's 2030 sustainability roadmap.
