Cold wave grips Telangana

Hyderabad: Hyderabad and several districts of Telangana are likely to continue experiencing severe cold wave conditions for the next few days, with no significant relief in sight. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), Hyderabad, cold wave warnings have been extended in multiple districts till Tuesday, December 16, 2025.

In its latest forecast, IMD stated that dry weather will prevail across Telangana, while minimum temperatures are expected to remain 2°C to 3°C below normal in isolated pockets over the next two days. Cold wave conditions are very likely in parts of Adilabad, Komuram Bheem Asifabad, Mancherial, Nirmal, Sangareddy and Medak districts. In these areas, minimum temperatures are forecast to range between 5°C and 11°C over the next 24 to 48 hours, indicating intense cold conditions, especially during night and early morning hours.
