District Collector Borkade Hemant Sahadevarao has directed education officials to achieve a 10 percent increase in student enrolment in every school across the district and to implement special measures to attract students to schools currently recording zero enrolment. He described the remarkable growth of Chinnaboyinpalli Government School, which increased its student strength from 12 to over 120, as an inspiring model for other institutions to follow.
He also directed officials to focus specifically on schools with zero enrolment and take proactive measures to bring children into the education system. Teachers, education department officials, and public representatives were asked to work in coordination to identify all school-age children in villages and ensure their admission into schools. Reviewing the progress of enrolment drives across mandals, the Collector sought details on the current student strength, newly enrolled students, and the status of the Badi Bata program.
He emphasized that every school should formulate a dedicated action plan to improve admissions. During the meeting, the Collector specially felicitated Constable Dhoopati Satish and the village Sarpanch for their exceptional efforts in increasing enrolment at Chinnaboyinpalli Government School from just 12 students to more than 120 students. He praised their contribution in building public confidence in government schools and significantly boosting admissions, describing their achievement as a model for other schools across the district.
