District Collector K. Haritha has directed all departmental officials to work in close coordination to ensure faster progress in development activities and effective implementation of welfare schemes in the district.

Chairing a review meeting at the Integrated Collectorate on Tuesday, the Collector along with Additional Collector Yuvaraj Marmat assessed ongoing development works and the status of welfare programmes across departments. She stressed that inter-departmental coordination is essential for timely completion of projects and better service delivery to the public.

With the new academic year beginning on June 12, the Collector instructed officials to ensure all basic infrastructure is ready in schools, hostels, and gurukul institutions. She ordered that drinking water supply, electricity, and functional toilets must be completed before reopening. She also directed that textbooks and uniforms be distributed to students on the first day of school without delay.

Haritha further instructed officials to complete all pending building repairs, road works, and bridge maintenance before the monsoon season. She emphasized the need to ensure uninterrupted drinking water supply to every village.

She also reviewed grievances received through Prajavani and directed officials to resolve them promptly. Additionally, she asked departments to closely monitor Yasangi paddy procurement centres on a daily basis. Officials from various departments participated in the review meeting.
