The Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC), under the leadership of President Mahesh Kumar Goud, will launch the Janahita Padayatra from July 31 to August 4, 2025. The first phase of the yatra will commence in Parigi, Ranga Reddy district, and conclude in Khanapur, Adilabad district. AICC In-charge for Telangana, Meenakshi Natarajan, will participate as the chief guest, reinforcing the Congress party's commitment to public welfare.

This announcement, on revised yatra, follows an extensive meeting held on Wednesday at Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s residence in Jubilee Hills, attended by Meenakshi Natarajan and TPCC Chief Mahesh Kumar Goud. The leaders discussed strategies to strengthen the Congress party, including preparations for the upcoming local body elections and the allocation of nominated posts, expected to be finalized soon. Initially the first phase of the yatra is slated till August 6, but due to the Delhi BC reservation fight, it will conclude two days earlier on August 4.

In addition, the TPCC has planned a significant Backward Classes (BC) movement in New Delhi from August 5 to 7, 2025, to advocate for 42% BC reservations. On August 5, Congress MPs will push for an adjournment motion to discuss BC issues in Parliament. A dharna is scheduled at Jantar Mantar on August 6, followed by a delegation meeting the President of India on August 7 to submit a memorandum.

To ensure robust participation, the TPCC has planned to mobilize 50 workers from each Telangana district to Delhi via a special train. Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, along with ministers, MPs, MLCs, MLAs, corporation chairpersons, and Congress workers, will lead the BC movement in Delhi, staying there for three days to spearhead the agitation. The Janahita Padayatra and the Delhi movement underscore the Congress party's dedication to addressing public concerns and securing justice for the Backward Classes.
