BRS Working President K.T. Rama Rao launched a sharp attack on the Congress government during his tour of Vemulawada and Sircilla Assembly constituencies in Rajanna Sircilla district, where he participated in the party’s digital membership enrollment programme and interacted with party workers.
Addressing gatherings under the “Mana Balam Mana Balagam” campaign, KTR alleged that the Congress government had failed on all fronts and had lost the confidence of the people. Comparing the government’s performance to a failed first half of a movie, he said the public had little hope for its second phase.
He claimed growing public dissatisfaction would translate into support for BRS in the coming elections. KTR accused the government of deceiving farmers through deductions in paddy procurement and failing to address issues relating to fertilizers, power supply and procurement logistics. He alleged that the Congress administration had weakened the Rythu Bandhu scheme and replaced it with what he termed “Rahul Bandhu,” while pushing the State into heavy debt.
Recalling the BRS journey under K. Chandrashekar Rao’s leadership, KTR said the party was born under difficult circumstances and went on to transform Telangana through welfare and infrastructure initiatives, including irrigation projects, medical colleges, gurukuls and social welfare programmes. He questioned what major achievements the present government could claim in comparison.
Speaking emotionally in Sircilla, KTR said the constituency had given him political rebirth and assured people that its development would remain his priority.
He credited the people and party cadre for standing firmly with BRS despite being out of power.
Calling for a successful digital membership drive, he urged party workers to strengthen the organisation at the booth level, remain vigilant against duplicate and bogus votes, and prepare for future electoral battles. He expressed confidence that the pink flag would once again fly high in Telangana and announced plans to visit every mandal in Vemulawada after June 25 to understand local issues first hand.
Revanth’s govt dissapointing: Jeevan Reddy
Senior leader Jeevan Reddy credited KCR with achieving Telangana’s aspirations of water, funds and employment opportunities. He described the Kaleshwaram project as a matter of national pride and alleged that the Congress government had failed to repair damaged structures despite available technical support. He accused the Revanth Reddy government of neglecting farmers, denying benefits under welfare schemes and relying on rhetoric rather than governance. He also expressed disappointment over his treatment within the Congress despite decades of service to the party.
