Development initiatives in the Malkajgiri assembly constituency are facing significant delays due to prolonged court cases, BRS MLA Marri Rajasekhar Reddy highlighted during a discussion in the Telangana Legislative Assembly on Wednesday. He pointed out that these litigations are preventing the timely execution of works that have already received land allocation and funding approvals.

Among the key examples cited by the MLA was the construction of a fire station in the Alwal area. Despite land and funds being sanctioned for the project, a court stay obtained through litigation has brought the work to a complete standstill. He also drew attention to the stalled development of water bodies such as Methukulakunta Cheruvu and Banda Cheruvu. Additionally, he voiced frustration over the non-implementation of directives from the National Green Tribunal (NGT) and the High Court concerning the dumping yard located within the Maccha Bollaram Hindu cremation ground.

MLA Rajasekhar Reddy called on the government to issue immediate directions to the Advocate General to coordinate with relevant government pleaders (GPs) and conduct a thorough review of all related court cases.
