Mahabubnagar: DCC President Sanjeev Mudiraj said on Friday that the Congress Party should be further strengthened in the district. Speaking at a meeting held at the Congress Party office in the district headquarters, he said that opportunities in party posts would be given to everyone. Keeping the upcoming Municipal Corporation elections in mind, he expressed the view that those aspiring to contest as corporators should not apply for district-level party posts. However, he said that those who intend to work both as corporators and as office-bearers in the future may submit applications.
District observer Ganji Bhaskar stated that party posts would be given to those who have worked hard for the party. He said that the final decision at the district level rests with the DCC President. He warned that anyone who crosses the party line or indulges in indiscipline would not be spared. He explained that there would be one district vice-president post for each block, two district general secretary posts for each block, one secretary post for each mandal, a district treasurer, one official spokesperson from each Assembly constituency, and similarly in the Municipal Corporation, one general secretary for every 10 divisions and one secretary for every five divisions based on population.
Interested members were requested to submit their applications by the 29th of this month. He said that the district party executive committee would be announced on the 31st of this month or in the first week of next month.
