A massive ‘Dharma Porata Deeksha’ was organized in the erstwhile Mahabubnagar district under the leadership of the State BC Joint Action Committee (JAC). Speaking on the occasion, former Municipal Chairman Anand Kumar Goud urged intellectuals and students to unite for the BC movement and carry forward the slogan ‘Maamento Maaku Antha’ to the public.
He lauded the State Government for issuing a GO implementing 42% BC reservations in local body elections and emphasized the need for the Central Government to provide legal sanction by amending the Constitution and including these reservations in the 9th Schedule.
Goud warned that protests, sit-ins, and road blockades would intensify, asserting that the BC JAC’s struggle would continue with greater force. The event saw the participation of leaders, public representatives, student and women leaders, concluding with resounding slogans of BC unity.
