PCC Vice President and Sanathnagar constituency in-charge Dr. Kota Neelima urged the officials to organize the Secunderabad Ujjaini Mahankali Bonalu festival in a grand manner. On Saturday, at the Mahankali temple, she distributed financial assistance cheques worth ₹1.62crore to the members of 268 temple committees within the Sanathnagar constituency, along with local MLA Talasani Srinivas Yadav and Deputy Mayor Mothe Srilatha Reddy.
Speaking on the occasion, she said a review meeting would soon be held with officials from GHMC, Endowments, Water Works, Electrical, Health, Police, Traffic Police, Fire Department, and other departments regarding the arrangements for the Secunderabad Bonalu festival to be held on the 13th of this month.
She explained that lakhs of devotees from various regions visit the goddess every year during the Bonalu festival. She said the Congress government is making arrangements accordingly and that this year the Ujjaini Mahankali Bonalu would be celebrated even more grandly than last year. She called upon leaders of all parties to ensure that the Bonalu festival is conducted successfully, rising above caste, religion, and politics.
