EPIC – FIRST SEMESTER receives positive response

Anand Deverakonda and Vaishnavi Chaitanya, the lead pair from the movie Baby, have reunited for the youthful entertainer EPIC – FIRST SEMESTER. Directed by Aditya Hasan, who made his mark with the successful web series 90s, the film hit theatres on Friday after premieres on Thursday. Presented by Srikara Studios and produced by Suryadevara Naga Vamsi and Sai Soujanya under Sithara Entertainments and Fortune Four Cinemas, the film has received an encouraging response, particularly from younger audiences.

Anand Deverakonda said audiences were connecting with the film’s love story and family emotions. He added that the story’s middle-class setting and the relationship between the protagonist and his father were particularly relatable to him. Vaishnavi said many viewers felt they could see themselves in the characters. She noted that the film’s sensitive treatment of subjects such as periods and PCOD had received positive feedback, especially from women.

Producer Naga Vamsi said the team made the film because they genuinely liked the story and hinted at plans for a sequel. Director Aditya Hasan said the story was inspired by real-life incidents and was presented naturally and honestly.
