Guntur Government Hospital (GGH) Superintendent Dr. SSV Ramana said that everyone should understand the ‘Swarnandhra - Swachh Andhra’ program, which has been very ambitiously undertaken by the state government.  

He participated in the Swarnandhra - Swachh Andhra program held at GGH on the third Saturday. Dr. SSV Ramana said that the plastic is polluting the soil, water and even the sea water. He said that this also affects food, causing diseases like cancer. He said that it is our responsibility to completely reduce the use of plastic and protect the environment.

Administrator Praveen Kumar said that we need to provide a healthy environment for future generations, which means planting trees and avoiding plastic usage.

A rally was organized with the hospital staff and the harm caused by plastic was explained to the patients in the hospital. Sixth Division Corporator Mrs. Pothuraj Samatha, Deputy Superintendent Dr. Uppala Srinivas, CSRM Administrator and others participated in this program.
