The Food Corporation of India (FCI) officials met Mahbubnagar MP D.K. Aruna at her residence in Jubilee Hills on Tuesday, marking their first interaction with her since her appointment as Chairperson of the FCI Telangana Consultative Committee.

During the meeting, key discussions were held on FCI’s operations in Telangana, including procurement of paddy, warehouse performance, import-export dynamics, and tenure details of committee members. Chairperson Aruna sought comprehensive insights into these matters.

The FCI team presented detailed reports on ongoing operations and the structure of the committee. MP Aruna announced that she will officially take charge of her responsibilities soon and directed officials to prepare for the inaugural meeting of the Consultative Committee, scheduled for the second week of July.

She also emphasized the importance of ensuring the presence of all committee members at the upcoming session.
