Seeks 1,302 immediate appointments

The Forum for Good Governance (FGG) has written to the Telangana government highlighting a severe human-resource gap in 25 newly built government hospitals across the state.
FGG president M. Padmanabha Reddy, in a letter addressed to Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, stated that although norms require 1,413 doctors and staff, only 111 positions are filled. Shockingly, 22 hospitals have zero recruitment, while three are functioning with minimal deputed staff - many of whom 'rarely attend duty', he pointed out.
Hospitals in Gajwel, Kodangal and Achampet reportedly have not a single sanctioned post filled. FGG warned that the buildings are deteriorating due to non-functionality. The FGG president urged the CM to immediately approve 1,302 appointments to make the hospitals operational and prevent further public health setbacks.
