Focus on safety, amenities at SCR Stations

South Central Railway (SCR) General Manager Sanjay Kumar Srivastava on Wednesday conducted a comprehensive inspection of Shankarpalli, Nagalapalli, Hi-Tech City and Kacheguda railway stations, besides undertaking a rear-window inspection between Secunderabad and Shankarpalli. He was accompanied by Secunderabad Divisional Railway Manager Dr. R. Gopalakrishnan and other senior officials.

During the rear-window inspection, the General Manager reviewed track conditions, signalling systems, sectional speeds and inspected a minor bridge between Nagalapalli and Shankarpalli stations.

At Shankarpalli, he assessed passenger amenities and reviewed the progress of ongoing station redevelopment works. At Nagalapalli, he inspected passenger facilities, the foot over bridge, circulating area, station building, a newly constructed ramp and a nearby level crossing gate.

The General Manager also reviewed redevelopment works at Hi-Tech City railway station, being upgraded at a cost of Rs 26 crore under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme. He inspected the 12-metre foot over bridge, platforms, circulating area, Station Master's room, signalling systems and safety equipment.

Later, he inspected Kacheguda railway station along with Hyderabad Divisional Railway Manager Santosh Kumar Verma. He reviewed passenger amenities on Platform No. 1, the foot over bridge and the station's second entrance towards Golnaka, besides discussing plans for further infrastructure upgradation with railway officials.
