Former Doordarshan director Devella Balakrishna passes away

Devella Balakrishna, a veteran broadcaster who contributed immensely to the glory and influence of All India Radio and Doordarshan, passed away at the age of 94.
He greatly encouraged young people who were working as casual production assistants while he was the program manager of All India Radio. He was one of the first program directors to move from All India Radio to Doordarshan as a director and lead the organization on a path of development.
