Freedom Healthy Cooking Oils welcomed standardized sizes

Freedom Healthy Cooking Oils on Tuesday welcomed the Government of India’s notification on standardized pack sizes for edible oils. This move, the firm said, will help bring greater clarity for consumers, improve consistency in packaging practices, and support more informed purchase decisions across the edible oil segment. 

It adds that the notification issued by the Department of Consumer Affairs under the Legal Metrology framework, which standardizes pack sizes with a transition period for compliance, is a timely reform that strengthens transparency, fairness and consumer protection in the category. Speaking on the occasion, P. Chandra Shekhara Reddy, Senior Vice President – Sales and Marketing mentioned that the step is a significant and consumer focused step that brings much needed clarity and consistency to the category. 

Adding further, Chetan Pimpalkhute, Marketing Head, informed that for Freedom Healthy Cooking Oils, the focus has always been to empower consumers with clear and useful information that helps them make better purchase decisions.
