The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) has registered a case of disproportionate assets against Kamatam Sravan Kumar, Tahsildar of Gajwel mandal in Siddipet district, for allegedly amassing wealth beyond his known sources of income through unlawful means.

According to officials, the accused officer, a resident of Karimnagar town, is suspected to have acquired several movable and immovable properties during his service by abusing his official position. Following the registration of the case, ACB teams conducted searches at his residence and two other locations linked to him.

During the raids, officials unearthed documents related to multiple properties, including two houses, an apartment building consisting of six flats, and four open plots in Karimnagar town. The official value of these immovable assets is estimated at Rs 2.47 crore.

The searches also led to the seizure of two two-wheelers worth Rs 1.6 lakh, a four-wheeler valued at Rs 30 lakh, gold ornaments worth Rs 4.2 lakh, and household articles worth about Rs 15.66 lakh. In addition, officials recovered net cash of Rs 11.9 lakh from the premises.

Altogether, assets worth around Rs 4 crore were detected during the searches. ACB officials said the market value of the properties is likely to be much higher than the official valuation.

The accused officer is being arrested and will be produced before the court for judicial remand. Further investigation into the case is in progress.

The ACB has urged the public to report any demand for bribes by public servants through its toll-free number 1064 or via its social media platforms.
