Nawazuddin credits Manoj Bajpayee, Irrfan Khan for breaking stereotypes

Nawazuddin Siddiqui has become one of Indian cinema’s most respected actors. Known for his powerful performances, he has earned a place among the greats. He is often compared to the late Irrfan Khan, who also changed the way actors are seen in Bollywood.
Nawazuddin credits Irrfan Khan and Manoj Bajpayee for inspiring him and breaking the usual hero stereotypes. In a recent interview, Nawazuddin talked about coming to Mumbai with big dreams, even though he knew he didn’t look like a typical Bollywood hero. He said that actors like Manoj Bajpayee, especially after his film Satya, and Irrfan Khan gave hope to many struggling actors like him.
He also shared that he trained hard and believed even small roles could make an impact. When he moved to Mumbai, he took TV roles and small film parts while continuing theatre work to support himself. Nawazuddin’s recent film Costao got good reviews, adding to his growing fame. He is now busy shooting several new films and will soon be seen in Thama, a horror-comedy with Rashmika Mandanna and Ayushmann Khurrana.
