GHMC Commissioner R V Karnan on Friday directed officials to complete the nala works expeditiously without causing inconvenience to people. He inspected the nala works in Santosh Nagar circle of Charminar zone along with Yakutpura MLA Zafar Hussain and MLC Mirza Riyaz-ul-Hasan Effendi. Maulana Ka Chilla and Ganganagar nallahs were inspected by the commissioner. MLA Zafar Hussainbrought to the notice of the commissioner the difficulties being faced by the people of many colonies due to these nalas. 

Project Executive Engineer B L Srinivas briefed the Commissioner on the repair works of Ganganagar Nala and informed that 70 per cent of the works have been completed. The GHMC maintenance engineering wing and water board officials have been directed to jointly clean up the Ganga Nagar nala along with the engineering officials as the pipeline is parallel on either side of the nala.

The Commisioner explained to the corporate commissioner the need for construction of a drainage canal from Jahangir Nagar Colony to Maulana Ka Chilla Nala and directed the engineering officials to prepare proposals. The Commissioner was accompanied by Water Board MD Ashok Reddy, Zonal Commissioner Venkanna, Zonal SE Maheshwar Reddy, Project EE B L Srinivas, Deputy Commissioner Mangatayaru, Patthargati Carborator Sohel Mahmood Qadri, Dabirpura Corporator Alandar Hussain Khan, Rain Bazar Corporator Vasa Uddin, Santosh Nagar Corporation Muzaffar Hussain, Talab Chanchalam Dr. Samina Begum and others.
