Following directives from GHMC Commissioner R.V. Karnan, civic authorities have intensified measures to prevent the spread of dengue after two confirmed cases emerged in Sanathnagar.
Additional Commissioner (Health) C.N. Raghu Prasad conducted a field visit to SRT Colony, engaging with patients and overseeing sanitation efforts. He directed medical teams to carry out diagnostic tests for all suspected cases and implement anti-larval operations in vulnerable areas like slums, hostels, and schools.
Raghu Prasad emphasized proactive steps such as identifying mosquito breeding sites and conducting awareness campaigns. Residents have been urged to keep surroundings dry and clear stagnant water to curb the mosquito population.
Health Joint Commissioner Shankar, Assistant Medical Officer Chandrasekhar Reddy, and officials from the Malaria Department joined the inspection, reiterating GHMC's commitment to public health and early containment strategies.
