The Dharmayuddha Shankhnad for Go-Pratishtha will take place in Lucknow on March 11, organisers clarified, correcting reports in some newspapers that had mistakenly mentioned March 12. The clarification was issued to remove confusion among Gau Bhakt Sanatan followers.
Sanjay Pandey, media in-charge of Jyotishpeethadhishwar Jagadguru Shankaracharya Swami Shri Avimukteshwaranand Saraswati Ji Maharaj, said the date remains March 11 as originally announced. The event follows the completion of a 40-day deadline given to the Uttar Pradesh government to declare Gau Mata as Rajyamata and enforce a complete ban on cow slaughter in the state.
The programme will begin with Sankalp Divas on March 6 (Chaitra Krishna Tritiya) at Shankaracharya Ghat in Kashi, where a pledge for the ideological Dharmayuddha will be taken after worship of Ganga Mata on the birth anniversary of Veer Shivaji Maharaj.
The yatra will start on March 7 at 8:30 am from Shri Vidya Math. Before departure, prayers including Sankatmochan Hanumanashtak, Hanuman Chalisa and Bajrang Baan will be offered at Sankat Mochan Temple.
Public meetings are scheduled in Jaunpur, Sultanpur, Raebareli, Mohanlalganj, Lalganj, Achalganj, Unnao, Bangarmau, Baghauli, Naimisharanya, Sidhauli and Itaunja from March 7 to 10.
The main programme on March 11 (Sheetala Ashtami) will be held from 2:15 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Kanshiram Smriti Sanskritik Sthal, Ashiyana, Lucknow, featuring rituals and addresses by saints and scholars. Organisers described it as a final warning to the government.
