Google on Tuesday unveiled new smart glasses, marking its return to a market it failed to crack more than a decade ago with Google Glass.
The so-called “audio glasses” will feature a microphone, camera and speaker, allowing users to make calls, listen to music, take photos and interact with the Gemini AI assistant.
The company showcased two collections at its Google I/O developer conference, developed with Warby Parker and Gentle Monster. Samsung handled the technical development.
The glasses will support Android and Apple phones. Google is also developing a display-equipped version, similar to Meta’s latest smart glasses model, unveiled in fall 2025 for developers and early testers.
