Telangana Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla released the new edition of “Obtuse Angle”, a collection of cartoons by former IAS officer BP Acharya, at Lok Bhavan on Monday. The book presents cartoons drawn by Acharya reflecting his four-decade-long journey in the bureaucracy, capturing experiences, observations and moments from his public service career.
The latest edition of the book is now available in paperback format, making the cartoon collection accessible to a wider readership. Through his cartoons, Acharya portrays various aspects of administrative life with humour and social commentary.
Acharya, who is also a trustee of the Kakatiya Heritage Trust, presented publications of the Trust to Governor Shukla during the event. Other trustees of the Trust, including Prof Panduranga Rao and Sridhar Rao of Warangal, were also present on the occasion.
The release highlighted the blend of art, public administration and heritage promotion, with Acharya’s cartoons offering a unique perspective on his long association with government service and institutional work.
