District Collector Hemant Keshav Patil said that the State Government has sanctioned Rs 2.68 crore for the development of the District Government General Hospital. Speaking at the first meeting of the District Hospital Development Committee, the Collector directed officials to utilize the funds for procuring modern medical equipment and diagnostic machines to improve healthcare services.
He instructed authorities to prepare comprehensive proposals based on the requirements of all departments and prioritize strengthening emergency care, ICU facilities and maternity services. The Collector also assured support for making a Red Cross ambulance available to the hospital and for meeting its repair expenses thereby ensuring better medical services for the public.
