Graduate MLC Teenmar Mallanna held a face-to-face interaction with students, employees and professors at Kakatiya University on Friday. During the meeting, many students brought their problems to the notice of MLC Mallanna. They pointed out that the construction of the Mahatma Jyotirao Phule Hostel has not been completed yet, which is causing serious difficulties for students. They explained that the lack of basic facilities such as proper accommodation, drinking water and sanitation is forcing students to struggle every day.
During the meeting, several part-time employees working in the university also brought their problems to the notice of MLC Mallanna. They said that they have been working for many years in part-time roles and are facing severe financial hardship. They also expressed apprehensions that the university is planning to recruit new part-time workers in the upcoming EC meeting and questioned what would happen to those who have already been working for years.
Responding to the issues raised, MLC Teenmar Mallanna assured that he would take every problem faced by the students at Kakatiya University to the notice of the government. He stated that he would raise his voice in the Legislative Council on issues such as hostel facilities, expansion of library, filling of regular posts and release of scholarships. He also pointed out that some issues can be resolved immediately and urged the Registrar to take prompt steps to address problems such as water supply in hostels, expansion of the library and bus facilities for women students.
Addressing the students, Mallanna said he would strive to bring a change in politics so that a true people-centric government emerges in the future in accordance with the aspirations of the people.
