YouTuber and Bigg Boss OTT 2 winner Elvish Yadav’s house targeted in early morning attack; police launch massive manhunt

Three armed men fired multiple shots at the house of YouTuber and Bigg Boss OTT winner Elvish Yadav in Haryana’s Gurugram city, early Sunday morning.

The assailants who came on a motorcycle were three in number, as can be seen in a post going viral on social media, around 5.30 am and fired multiple rounds at his houses in Gurugram’s Sector 57, when he was not home.

The shots were fired outside of the ground floor and first floor of the house, while Elvish lives on the second and third floors, according to media reports.

Notorious Bhau gang, which claimed responsibility for the same, said that the firing was carried out by Neeraj Faridpur and Bhau Ritaulia. The post (in Hindi) read that the bullets that were fired at Elvish Yadav’s houses today were fired by them as he has ruined many houses by promoting betting apps and other social media influencers promoting betting may also face calls or bullets.

Elvish’s father Ram Avtar Yadav, told newspersons that when he came out after hearing the shots, he saw that the bullets had been fired and only checking the CCTV, found that probably three people were involved in the attack. The family members, however, told police that Elvish had not received any threat prior to the attack.

Meanwhile, Congress MP from Rohtak Deepender Hooda slammed the Haryana BJP government over what he alleged, the deteriorating law and other situation in the state.

Earlier, Elvish was also in news in 2023 after he along with some people, was booked by UP police with nine venomous snakes in their possession and on the allegations that the snake's venom was used at illegal raves. They were also sent to judicial custody later last year and granted bail in March 2024.
