TCA Telangana Gold Cup 2025–26
TCA Hanumakonda emerged champions of the East Zone League of the TCA Telangana Gold Cup 2025–26, defeating TCA Khammam by 21 runs in a thrilling final played at the Kakatiya University Grounds, Warangal. The final turned into a batting spectacle, highlighted by two scintillating centuries from Shashank Kashyap and M. Pavan.
Batting first, TCA Hanumakonda posted an imposing 230 for 3 in 20 overs, riding on a magnificent unbeaten century by Shashank Kashyap, who smashed 100 not out with 15 fours and 3 sixes. He was well supported by Syed Sonu (64) and Aditya Sai Kumar (40). For Khammam, Imran Shaik was the pick of the bowlers with figures of 2 for 39.
In reply, TCA Khammam mounted a spirited chase and finished at 209 for 8, falling short despite a sensational knock by M. Pavan, who blasted 115 runs including 8 fours and 10 sixes. His explosive innings kept Khammam in the hunt till the final overs. However, disciplined bowling, particularly from Varun Teja (2 for 20), helped Hanumakonda seal the contest. With this victory, TCA Hanumakonda lifted the East Zone Championship, while TCA Khammam finished as runners-up.
The prizes were distributed by TCA General Secretary Dharam Guruva Reddy, Vice President Dr. P. VijayChander Reddy, former Ranji cricketer N. Jayachander, Dr. G. Premender Reddy, and TCA East Zone Convenor T. Jayapal, who congratulated the players for their competitive spirit and high-quality cricket. Speaking on the occasion, TCA General Secretary Dharam Guruva Reddy said, “There is so much talent in the districts. This tournament is a testimony to the fact.”
