Harish Rao has no right to insult the Judiciary: Uttam

Irrigation Minister Uttam Kumar Reddy strongly condemned BRS leaders, particularly Harish Rao, for belittling the Judicial Commission’s report on the irregularities in the Kaleshwaram project. “No one has the right to insult the judiciary, especially those deeply involved in corruption,” he asserted.

In a press note minister opined, “BRS has no respect for democratic institutions or the judiciary. They have no faith even in a judicial commission headed by retired Supreme Court Judge Justice P.C. Ghose. The Commission unearthed the truth—it was not a report written by Revanth Reddy or Uttam Kumar Reddy. Both the then CM KCR and Irrigation Minister Harish Rao personally appeared before the Commission to present their statements.  Now, they are shedding crocodile tears in the party office.”

Highlighting the lapses, Uttam said, “Replacing the Pranahita-Chevella project with Kaleshwaram, they went ahead with faulty designs and construction, leading to the sinking of the Medigadda barrage. They ignored expert warnings and misused public funds to the tune of ₹1 lakh crore. All of this has been established by the Commission. Now, driven by fear, they are attacking the Commission itself.”

He challenged Harish Rao: “Stop deceiving the people. Come to the Assembly for an open debate. Admit your mistakes and apologise to the four crore people of Telangana.” Taking a swipe at the BRS leadership, he remarked, “Stop the farmhouse directions and party office drama. You think your corruption is acceptable but our investigation is political vendetta? What a shameless double standard."
