HMWSSB flags viral recruitment posts as fake

The Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWSSB) has issued a clarification over fake recruitment posters circulating widely on social media. The viral posters, titled “Hyderabad Water Supply Board Telangana Recruitment 2026,” falsely claim that the board is conducting large-scale job recruitments with details of salaries, qualifications, and vacancies.

In an official statement, the Water Board said no such recruitment process is currently being conducted. Officials termed the viral content as completely false and misleading, warning job aspirants against believing unverified social media posts.

HMWSSB clarified that any future recruitment notifications will be issued only through official government channels and authorised agencies such as the Telangana Public Service Commission (TGPSC). Genuine notifications, if any, will be published through official websites and trusted media platforms.

The board appealed to unemployed youth and the public to stay alert and avoid falling victim to fake advertisements and rumours spread online. Officials advised people to verify information only through official government and HMWSSB announcements before applying for any jobs.

The clarification comes amid rising circulation of fake recruitment posts targeting job seekers online.
