A seminar was organized on Sunday at the auditorium of the Shrinath Bhakti Sansthan in Ravindrapuri to commemorate the Diamond Jubilee and pay tribute to eminent Ram Katha orator,  ‘Manas Ratna’ Dr. Shrinath Mishra. The event was organized under the aegis of the Kashi Vidwat Parishad Nyas and was attended by prominent scholars from across India, who recalled Dr. Mishra’s contributions and expressed their views on his life and work.

Delivering the inaugural address, Brahmachari Shambhu Premanand Ji Maharaj said that the best way to offer a true tribute to Dr. Shrinath Mishra was to maintain sincere devotion to one’s guru and to Gau Mata. He gave a call that followers of Sanatan Dharma should remain united and, guided by wisdom and sound judgment, work together to help the nation and the faith overcome the challenges they face. Prof. Shailesh Tiwari in particular highlighted Vijaya Tika, among the hundreds of books authored by Dr. Mishra, as one of his significant works.

Prof. Kamalakant Tripathi said that that Dr. Shrinath Mishra was therefore not only an exceptional scholar in the field of the Manas, but also an eminent scholar of Sanskrit. He said the gathering felt honoured to pay tribute to such a distinguished scholar.

In his presidential address, Kashi Vidwat Parishad Nyas President Parmeshwar Datt Shukla noted that, just as Bharat in the Ramayana was completely free of pride, Manas Ratna Dr. Shrinath Mishra, remained humble despite possessing immense knowledge and accomplishments. During the seminar, Dr. Shrinath Mishra’s son Surendra Nath Mishra and other members of his family were honored. An address of appreciation was also read out by Shreesh Datt Shukla on the occasion.
